Zia, Niaz start with wins in the second Subic Open International chess tournament

Grand Masters Ziaur Rahman and Niaz Murshed won their respective first round matches in the second Subic Open International chess tournament at Subic Freeport, Olongapo City, Philippines yesterday.
Zia beat Jia Hoaxiang of China and Niaz beat Lkhamsuren Uuganbayar of Mongolia.
A total of 74 players including 17 Grand Masters and 14 International Masters from several countries are participating in the event
