Traditionalists and liberalists collide today at Lord's as the home of cricket will play host to the second edition of the World T20 when England take on the Netherlands under the floodlights.
T20 has long been considered the "prodigal child" of the cricketing fraternity but with Lord's playing host to the second such World Cup, there is finally feeling that this form of the game is earning acceptance amongst the cricketing elite.
The World Twenty20 is being played at three grounds - Lord's, The Oval and Trent Bridge with the final to be staged at Lord's on June 21.
The format of the game leaves very little chance to identify clear favourites but defending champions India remains the best bet to pull off an encore
